LOBBYING: LAUNCH OF WHY NOT SOUTHWARK CAMPAIGN

XRS took our Why Not Southwark campaign directly to councillors on Monday 22nd February, inviting all 63 Southwark councillors to an open discussion on how we might mitigate and adapt to the climate crisis in Southwark, positioning Southwark as a national leader for climate and biodiversity.

Humaira Ali (London Bridge & West Bermondsey), Renata Hamvas (Peckham Rye), James McAsh (Goose Green), Adele Morris (Borough and Bankside), Margy Newens (Dulwich Village), Graham Neale (St George’s), Martin Seaton (North Walworth), and Ian Wingfield (St Giles) attended, voicing their own concerns regarding the climate crisis and how the council can respond.
